1st Conference of the ASDV Abuja, 2016

In July 2016, the city of Abuja, Nigeria hosted the 1st Scientific Conference of the African Society of Dermatology and Venereology (ASDV). This meeting was held in conjunction with the 10th annual scientific conference of the Nigerian Association of Dermatologists (NAD). This is a gathering of immense scale that brings together dermatologists in Africa. It took place from the 12th – 16th of July 2016 at the Sheraton Abuja Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.
The conference had African and International healthcare practitioners in dermatology and related specialties, researchers, and policymakers in attendance. Sessions included panel discussions, symposia, free communications, industrial symposia, and residents’ forums. A pre-conference workshop for dermatologists included basic surgical skills, cosmetic dermatology, and dermatopathology.
